Patent: Syngas Production Through The Use Of Membrane Technologies

Relates generally to the formation of Syngas (CO + H2), and more particularly to the control and regulation of supplies of carbon dioxide and methane with membrane technology to provide an appropriate feed stream for Syngas production.

In particular, it relates to the use of membrane technologies in the separation of carbon dioxide from carbon dioxide contaminated gases to provide innovative mixtures with methane having ratios of carbon dioxide and methane suitable for reformation and transformation into Syngas and additionally to employing such Syngas as a feedstock that is converted to liquid hydrocarbons in a Fischer-Tropsch (F-T) reactor.

Patent Pending: Capture Of Carbon Dioxide From Gases

Relates to processes and apparatus for capturing carbon dioxide from gases that contain carbon dioxide. In a particular form, the gases that contain carbon dioxide are those emitted by coal or gas-fired power stations. (in partnership with Curtin University)

Patent Pending: Undiscovered benefits of low surface area TiO2 supported CoMo catalyst for dry and combined reforming of methane under microwave irradiation

Relates to a catalyst for microwave-assisted methane reforming reactions. The catalyst comprises a catalytically active metallic species that absorbs incident microwaves and a TiO2 support.

The CoMo/TiO2 catalyst exhibits a strikingly catalytic satbility for both DRM and SDR reactions over a period of time-on-stream (TOS) under MW irradiation. Excellent stability can be attributed to strong metal-support interaction as well as the enhancement for the gasification of deposited C by MW wave and steam.
